Art

• Art is a wonderful tool that allows children to truly express themselves. Their endlessly imaginative characters can come to life with just a marker, and each stroke of a paintbrush can tell a complex story in a child’s mind.

• Picture books can help children understand the many sciences behind art — such as mixing colors — and discover the many new mediums that art has to offer.

• Picture books can also be utilized as a source of comfort for children if they are confronted with feelings of frustration or lack of self-confidence with their artwork.
